Does Denver Carpet & Flooring offer installation as well as materials?

Yes - in fact being a “one-stop-shop” is what we are known for: providing our customers with superior products and an amazing installation experience. We also sell just the product to do-it-yourselfers - we do not just do install-only.

Can I see different flooring options prior to making a decision for my project?

Yes - scheduling an appointment for one of our free in-home consultations is easy and completely risk-free. We visit you at home, provide samples, measure your space, and can provide an estimate on the spot. Our team is well-versed in design, functionality, and cost. We’ll answer any questions and take the necessary measurements to make your flooring installation process easy.

Can I get help designing my desired aesthetic?

Yes - the Denver Carpet & Flooring design center can help bring all of your ideas together, and our experts can even inspire some new ideas. Plus, we’ll go beyond aesthetics to assist you in choosing the flooring that will suit your functional needs best. On top of that, we offer free in-home consultations with our professional flooring specialists so you can see the options within the context of your home’s design.

How long does a project typically take?

It depends on a number of factors, the three most important being:

  • Product type
  • Availability of a product
  • Size of the job

The product type determines if any acclimation period is needed. For example, a hardwood job will require us to deliver the material to the jobsite in advance and allow it to sit there from anywhere from 72 hours to up to two weeks to ensure the moisture reading of the new product is close to the moisture levels of the existing subfloor.

If you choose a product from our inventory that is currently in our warehouse in Denver - rather than having to wait for the product to come in from the manufacturer - then delivery time is not a factor. 

Of course, other factors come into play. The size of the job also determines how quickly a job can be finished. How do the free consultations work?

Our flooring specialists will visit you in your home, provide product samples for different flooring options, review your budget, measure the space, and provide an estimate on the spot - and the convenience is completely free!

Can a single project include more than one flooring material?

Does Denver Carpet & Flooring handle highly customized projects?

Certainly! We have done it all from custom dying of carpets to creating odd sized rugs to fit your space perfectly to custom stairs. If for some reason a job ends up not being in our wheelhouse we will certainly be upfront about it and refer you to someone we know with a particular specialty. 

Does Denver Carpet & Flooring offer any restoration or upkeep services?

No. We do not offer cleaning or restoration services. That said, being in this business for a long period of time has enabled us to build up a great network of qualified service providers that we would be happy to refer you to.

What additional costs (beyond materials) should I expect from a typical flooring project?

We get it. No one likes surprises, especially when it comes to a flooring project. Subfloor preparation on hard surface projects is probably the most important and most often overlooked part of any job.

It is challenging because without pulling up the existing floor in advance, you don’t know what you have to work with. If a potential customer is just gathering information and not quite sure they want to tackle a flooring job in the first place - well, you don’t want to be tearing up their existing floor.

We are always happy to come back after a sales appointment and before an installation to check for any potential problems so you can rest easy.

Does Denver Carpet & Flooring offer flooring for commercial purposes?

Yes - Denver Carpet & Flooring works with businesses of all shapes and sizes to make your flooring comply with requirements and regulations, while remaining true to your overall desired aesthetic. Our team of professional flooring experts will be in contact with you every step of the way with clear and comprehensive communication.

Are all of the products that you carry listed in your Denver Carpet & Flooring on your catalog?

That is a great question! The flooring industry is a little unique in that not only are there thousands of product styles and SKU’s, there are at least eight to twenty-four colors to go along with each product. This equates to a mind boggling amount of things to have to sift through. We don’t want to put you through that.  In addition, things change very fast in our industry. Keeping all those colors and prices updated takes a lot of time and resources. 

Bottom line, we can check availability and pricing on just about any item you see out there. If you see something you like that is not listed on our site, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

If I buy a product myself from someplace else, can I hire you to install it for me?

We get this question a lot. The answer is a resounding “No”, and for good reason. First, we learned that the hard way. Second, we have quite a lengthy product evaluation process. There are dozens of factors that go into our decision making process that determines what we are willing to sell to our customers, install in our customers’ homes, and in effect, put our name behind. Beware of any company that is willing to sell you a product for a so-called great price that they themselves are not willing to install. There are a lot of junky products out there. 

We are happy to take a look at any samples you may have gathered along the way and give you an unbiased opinion. In many cases we can show you how for just a few hundred dollars more, you can get a product that could potentially last twice as long. 

What happens if my flooring is damaged prior to arrival from the manufacturer?

It is a rare occurrence and an unfortunate one, but flooring does arrive damaged on occasion. We would not let it go to a jobsite or allow you to pick it up if it was damaged. In fact, we would hopefully not even allow it off the truck. We would reject the delivery and have the manufacturer expedite a new shipment. 

It is important to understand that generally in this business installation equals acceptance. That is why as part of our installation process, we require that the installer has the customer confirm that the product they are about to install is the product the customer ordered. In addition, our installers know that if they see any defects in a product that they should stop the installation immediately so that we can get the manufacturer involved.

How large is Denver Carpet & Flooring’s service area?

We serve the Denver metropolitan area from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, and Silverthorne to Bennett. For anywhere outside of those areas, please call us to discuss your options.

Can I get waterproof flooring that looks good for my Denver home or business?

If I have a tight construction schedule, can Denver Carpet & Flooring accommodate my needs?

Typically flooring is the last material to go in on a job. We don’t come across too many instances where we cannot accommodate an installation schedule. We can help you with planning so you can know what to expect and work it into your timeline accordingly. Here are some general tips of things to think through or that you might want to bring up with your contractor:

  • Like we mentioned, usually flooring should be installed last.
  • Do you best to avoid scheduling trades on top of each other. You don’t want a painter to be finishing their work while we are installing your new hardwood floor or carpet, even if they are in different areas (think ventilation).
  • If you can, try to include a couple of buffer days in your schedule in case one of your trades takes longer than you think. We will always work with you to get you rescheduled in the quickest amount of time possible, but sometimes “tomorrow” is already booked up. 
  • The same goes with scheduling movers. Movers are hard to reschedule, so it is good practice to give yourself some room for unforeseen problems.
