Written estimate must be verifiable by Denver Carpet & Flooring, must be dated no more than 30 days prior to date customer signs contract with Denver Carpet & Flooring, and must be presented to Denver Carpet & Flooring at least 72 hours before the installation date. The competitor’s written estimate must be for in-stock flooring and for the same or equal product to Denver Carpet & Flooring floors (in terms of weight, texture, yarn content for carpet and identical padding or identical merchandise for hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, or laminate floors), and must include all installation, delivery, and other charges. Competitor estimates must include a lifetime installation warranty. The written estimate must be the result of an in-home visit which included physical measurements and inspection of all sub-floors. Written estimates must specifically list all areas of the home to be covered including room dimensions and must include all charges for floor or sub-floor preparation and/or upgrades. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: 

At Denver Carpet & Flooring, your satisfaction is our priority. That’s why we offer a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee on eligible flooring products.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your selection of your product, we will replace the product within thirty (30) days of the completed installation. The replacement must be from the same manufacturer, of comparable value, and be a different style or color.

If you choose a product of greater value, you’ll simply pay the difference in retail price. If the replacement product is of lesser value, no refund or credit will be issued.

Please note:

  • This guarantee covers product replacement only. It does not include costs for freight, carpet cushion, underlayment, labor (including removal of the original flooring, installation of the new flooring, furniture moving), or any other related services.
  • The original flooring must not show signs of abuse, vandalism, alteration, or damage caused by fire, smoke, flooding, appliance failure, pets, construction, or any non-routine activity.
  • The installation must be in an owner-occupied residence. Rental property or commercial installations are not eligible.
  • Flooring sold as seconds, irregular, used, or anything other than new first-quality material is excluded from this guarantee.
  • Only one replacement per original flooring purchase is allowed, and the guarantee is non-transferable.

To initiate a claim: Please contact Denver Carpet & Flooring at 303-432-3566 to submit a claim report. All claims will first be processed under the manufacturer’s Satisfaction Guarantee, if available. If no guarantee exists, Denver Carpet & Flooring will honor the claim under the terms outlined above.

Lifetime Installation Warranty: 

This is a labor or workmanship installation warranty provided by DeWees Enterprises LLC, dba Denver Carpet & Flooring (DC&F) from which you purchased your flooring and installation services to you, the original consumer purchaser (“Owner”) for installation at your single-family, owner occupied home used solely for residential purposes where no commercial activity including but not limited to rental or day care takes place. This warranty covers labor only. It does not take the place of or affect the manufacturer’s warranty on the material used. Please consult your third-party manufacturer warranties for further coverage.

Warranty: DC&F warrants to the Owner that the flooring installation work performed by DC&F or a DC&F Authorized Installation Provider will be free of defects for the reasonable life of the product for as long as Owner owns and resides in the home where DC&F or a DC&F Authorized Installation Provider performed the installation, subject to the other terms and conditions contained in this warranty.

What Is Not Covered: DC&F grants this warranty to the Owner only and only materials purchased from and installed by DC&F or a DC&F Authorized Installation Provider are covered by this warranty. This warranty assumes normal and reasonable use of and maintenance of products or components according to the manufacturer’s recommended care and cleaning procedures. This warranty does not cover any other damage or material failure including, but not limited to, damage caused by existing defects at Owner’s property or existing underlayment not installed by DC&F, damage caused by occurrences beyond the control of DC&F, such as acts of God, smoke and/or fire, settlement of the building, failure of the structure (including foundations and walls), use of incompatible accessories, removal, repair, or re-installation of any products or components by anyone other than DC&F, normal corrosive effects of chemicals, intentional acts, or unreasonable use or failure to provide reasonable maintenance as and when necessary, damages due to or arising from the identification, detection, abatement, encapsulation or removal of mold, asbestos, lead based products or other hazardous substances inside or outside of the structure being improved, installation or installation methods performed at Owner request against the advice of DC&F or DC&F Authorized Installation Provider. For vinyl, wood, tile, stone, and laminate installations, this warranty does not cover discoloration from asphalt driveways, indentations from high heels, scratches and damage caused by chairs, tables, appliances, wheelchairs or motorized scooters, pets, and other tangible objects. Installation, removal, repair, adjustment, tampering, or re-installation of any products or components by anyone other than DC&F or DC&F Authorized Installation Provider voids this warranty, and DC&F expressly disclaims any liability for any costs, defects, or damages with respect to such actions. Owner acknowledges that professionally installed carpet may require re-stretching after approximately 24 months, that such is a part of normal maintenance, and such is not covered by this warranty.

How to Obtain Warranty Service: To submit a claim, a copy of this warranty and a copy of the Owner’s sales contract must be submitted in writing by U.S. mail or nationally recognized overnight delivery service to Denver Carpet & Flooring at 11809 E. 51st Ave, Denver, CO 80239 with a brief explanation of the claim. Claims must be submitted promptly, but no later than three days after discovery of the claimed defect. Within a reasonable period after having received the Owner’s claim, DC&F will schedule an appointment to inspect the premises and the warranty claim. Starting two years after the inception date of coverage under this warranty, DC&F will charge Owner and Owner agrees to pay a $50 warranty processing fee for each asserted claim. If after inspection of an alleged claim, DC&F determines that a valid claim exists, DC&F will repair, re-install, replace, or refund the purchase price of the failing service, at our option. If DC&F decides to replace any or all product(s), and if such product(s), as originally installed, is no longer available, DC&F shall have the right to substitute product(s) designated by DC&F to be of equal quality. If, at DC&F’s option, a purchase price refund is conveyed to the Owner, then this warranty is terminated, and the repair, replacement, or removal of the product shall become the sole responsibility of the Owner. This warranty is not valid unless and until the Owner has made full payment under the original sales contract and all addenda thereto. Non-warranty calls for repair or adjustment or calls under a third-party product and/or manufacturer warranty (i.e., claims not related to this labor warranty) may result in a service charge.

Remedies and Rights: This warranty is the only express warranty provided by DC&F. No employee, representative, agent, or any other person has authority to assume or incur on behalf of DC&F any obligation, liability, or responsibility in place of or in addition to this warranty. DC&F HEREBY EXCLUDES AND DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BY WAY OF ILLUSTRATION AND NOT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, HABITABILITY, AND MERCHANTABILITY. DC&F’s liability to the Owner under this warranty is limited to the amounts received by DC&F for services rendered under the sales contract with the Owner. In no event shall DC&F be obligated or liable for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind for the breach of any express or implied warranty.

Pay Balance When the Work is Done, (Not Upfront):

We’re surprised by how many flooring retailers require full payment before work even begins—that doesn’t feel right to us. At Denver Carpet & Flooring, we believe in a fair and transparent process.

For customers paying by cash, check, or ACH: You only pay a minimum of 50% of the job cost upfront as a deposit. The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion, on the final day of installation.

For customers financing their project: Because we allow down payments of less than 20%, we receive payment from the financing company once the product arrives at our warehouse—before installation begins. This helps us manage carrying costs for both materials and labor.

Floor Prep (Preparation) Included

In some cases, during the installation of flooring products, additional work on the subfloor may be necessary to ensure proper installation. Because the subfloor’s condition is often not fully visible at the time of sale, the exact scope of preparation or repair required can only be determined once installation begins. It is important to understand the distinction between floor preparation and floor repair:

Floor Preparation refers to the process of cleaning, leveling, and priming the existing substrate to ensure proper adhesion and performance of the new flooring material. This may include:

  • Removal of debris, dust, and contaminants
  • Light sanding or grinding for surface smoothness
  • Application of primers or moisture barriers as required
  • Minor patching for surface irregularities within manufacturer tolerances
  • Installation of self-leveling underlayment to achieve a smooth, level surface

Floor Repair, on the other hand, involves structural or corrective work beyond standard preparation, such as:

  • Fixing cracks, holes, or damaged subfloor sections
  • Addressing moisture intrusion or structural deficiencies
  • Replacing compromised substrate materials

Scope Limitation:
Our hard surface installation services include up to $1,500 in floor preparation as defined above. Any floor preparation work needed above that amount will be subject to extra charges and require a written change order. 

Many conditions requiring floor repair, structural correction, or moisture remediation may fall outside the scope of our abilities. In that case, they must be resolved prior to installation by a qualified professional at the customer’s expense. If DC&F or a DC&F Authorized Installation Provider can perform the additional repair work, it will be subject to additional charges and require a written change order.

Additional Warranties

Material Warranties: All material and product warranties are the responsibility of the manufacturers. Stain resistant warranties, soil resistant warranties, texture retention warranties, scratch resistance warranties, tear resistant warranties, fade resistant warranties, water warranties all vary depending upon the product and manufacturer and are also not to be confused with quality assurance or wear warranties. To keep all carpet warranties in effect the consumer must have the carpet professionally cleaned at least every twelve – eighteen months (dependent on manufacturer) and have receipts to validate such. Per the manufacturers warranties regarding product defect(s) are predicated on a pro-rated basis and all products will be equally credited by the total amount of the contract price, divided by the length of the product warranty, to determine a yearly rate, which will be multiplied by the number of years the customer used the product to determine the usage value for offset purposes. Further, all product defects or replacements (of any type) after a 2-year period, the consumer will be solely responsible to pay for all labor costs.

  
 Denver Carpet & Flooring is not responsible for problems arising from underlayment not installed by us, nor are we responsible for movement and/or settling of any concrete slabs and/or modular homes. All warranties for all flooring are predicated on proper care & maintenance and are void if damages occur in relation to improper maintenance, customer abuse, acts of God, or any circumstances beyond the control of Denver Carpet & Flooring. All warranties exclude damages in relation to discoloration from asphalt driveways, indentations from high heeled shoes, scratches, and/or damages caused by chairs, tables, appliances, pets, and/or other objects. The use of chair mats designed for floating floors is required to protect plank locking mechanisms from damage caused by rolling chairs and wheelchairs. Wood & laminate flooring should not be cleaned with water and/or subjected to excessive moisture and/or humidity, as it may damage your flooring. Flooring must be subjected to reasonable and consistent temperatures, year-round. Failure to keep home climatized between 60-80 degrees effectively voids all labor and material warranties and will likely cause damage to your flooring. Hardwood flooring and some laminate flooring also requires humidity levels to be kept between 30-50% and if not maintained, will also likely cause damage to your flooring and void all labor and material warranties.
  
 Warranties are not transferrable unless expressly stated on the original Purchase Agreement. If Denver Carpet & Flooring allows a warranty to transfer from the original homeowner, it is only the material warranties that will transfer. The lifetime installation warranty is not transferable under any circumstances and is only available to individual(s) named on the original sales draft.
  
 Not properly maintaining the flooring IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS will void all manufacturer as well as Denver Carpet & Flooring warranties.
